I am a native Swiss, but I have lived and worked in Salzburg for many years. My work is characterized by an unparalleled passion and a relentless pursuit of perfection. Over the decades, I have restored countless classic cars to museum quality, continuously expanding my knowledge of traditional painting techniques.

However, my role goes beyond that of a restorer. In my 35 years as a car painter, I have tirelessly experimented with unconventional materials and processes to find innovative solutions that optimize the painting process and improve the quality of the final result.

My specialty lies in finishes such as piano lacquer, nitro lacquer, and thermoplastic coatings. Through my unique approach, I have successfully preserved traditional painting craftsmanship, combined it with innovative methods, and integrated it into the modern world. Now, my goal is to pass on this expertise.

In 2023, I launched the YouTube channel ‚Lackademie - A Paint Professional Tells All.‘ In my videos, I provide a detailed analysis of the entire process of classic car painting and openly share which steps I take during a restoration, when and how I perform them, and which materials are used. My goal is to preserve the traditional craftsmanship of classic car painting and to pass on my knowledge to anyone interested.

In an era where technological advancements in painting often focus on part replacement rather than restoration, I want to help ensure that the knowledge of classic car restoration craftsmanship is not lost. For me, a paint job is only successful if it is not only technically flawless but, above all, preserves the soul of the vehicle.
